This calibration builds on the solid OEM-level foundation of Stage 1 and introduces advanced strategies focused on airflow, fueling, ignition, ShiftCam control, and race-oriented logic.
Stage 2 is recommended for riders with aftermarket exhaust systems or those looking for the highest possible performance without compromising engine safety.

Technical Features & Adjustments
Factory ECU limits throttle opening by gear and RPM.
Please refer to the table below, which represents one of the throttle valve management maps. As shown, second and third gears are significantly more restricted than the other gears, and above 13,750 RPM the throttle is electronically reduced to 87% opening.

This advanced calibration capability is exclusive to Carita, and is not available through standard aftermarket tuning platforms.

• Exup, Evap and Pair valves DTC off. If you remove these valves it will not turn on any DTC code but if you leave them on, they will continue to function with the modifications included with stage 2
• All speed limiters are fully disabled on all our BMW maps.
This applies to Stage 1, Stage 2, and Race calibrations.
• Engine-side speed limiters are completely removed within the ECU logic. There are no torque-based or software speed restrictions remaining in the engine control unit.
• Dashboard (Dash) Unlock Explanation:
Some BMW S1000RR models also include a separate speed display limitation within the dashboard (dash) itself.
The handheld device and engine ECU flash do not have access to the dash module, as it is a different control unit.
However, this does NOT mean the speed limiter is still active.
• If your bike does NOT have a dash restriction, once our flash is installed the motorcycle will display +310 km/h-192mph as soon as gearing, rider weight, and setup allow the bike to reach that speed.
• If your specific bike does have a dash limitation, the motorcycle is still capable of exceeding the displayed speed.
In this case, we recommend using an external GPS device (Dragy, Garmin, Racelogic, etc.) to accurately measure real-world top speed.
• 170MPH limiter (due to torque) removed

The current tuning file has been updated with the Race Map Package sourced directly from the new 2026 BMW M1000RR. This integration includes the high-performance calibration data and specialized parameters designed for competitive track use.
Ignition-Cut Quickshifter: Replaced standard logic with the M-series ignition-cut strategy, allowing for faster, seamless full-throttle upshifts and improved gearbox stability under load.
Starting with the 2023 model year, the BMW S1000RR comes factory-equipped with the M Airbox and optimized intake geometry.
Based on extensive testing and data analysis: The stock M-series intake system is highly efficient; current aftermarket velocity stacks do not provide a increase in horsepower or torque.
Performance Benchmarking: To date, no aftermarket intake accessory has outperformed the 2023+ factory configuration.
Recommendation: We recommend retaining the original M Airbox setup for optimal pressure waves and throttle response across the entire RPM range.
