BMW S1000RR Stage 1 ECU Tune - Cold Start Correction Included.

The BMW S1000RR is an extremely capable machine from the factory, but to meet global homologation and emissions requirements, BMW limits throttle behavior, torque delivery, and top-end output.
Our Stage 1 ECU Tune was developed to remove these factory restrictions while maintaining OEM-level drivability, reliability, and long-term engine health.

This is not an aggressive race calibration. It is a clean, well-balanced tune designed to unlock the bike’s real performance and correct several important factory behaviors.

Performance Gains:

•  Up to 50 WHP gains in the mid-range
• +10–15 WHP at the top end

Key Features:

• Factory throttle restrictions removed – true 100% throttle opening
• Top-end torque limiter increased from 75% to 100%
• Torque-based 170 MPH speed limiter removed
• Second and third gear torque limitations removed
• Exhaust valve fully de-restricted (100% open)
• Intake flappers fully de-restricted (100% open)
• Throttle response calibrated to a true 1:1 relationship
• Fuel maps optimized with Full-Time Closed Loop (FTCL) active
• Smooth, predictable power delivery across the entire RPM range

Cold Start Correction Included
We are the only tuning company that corrects the factory cold-start behavior already at Stage 1.
From the factory, the S1000RR models start with excessively high RPM while the engine and oil are still cold, before proper oil circulation is established. This behavior is unnecessary and potentially harmful over time.

Our Stage 1 calibration corrects this issue by stabilizing cold-start RPM, reducing stress on internal engine components and improving overall longevity.

Rideability & Reliability Improvements:
• Cold-start high idle issue corrected
• Reduced engine stress during cold starts
• Improved throttle consistency at low and mid throttle
• Smoother cruising and more controlled power delivery

Important Notes
• Flames in Neutral are not included in Stage 1
• If flames in neutral are desired, Stage 2 calibration is required

REQUIREMENTS

• Our handheld tuner is required (we do not support third-party flashing tools)
• Stable battery voltage during flashing (battery tender or charger recommended)
• Laptop or desktop computer (windows) with internet connection for software updates

The handheld allows you to read, flash, and store your original ECU file as well as all updated maps.
